Top 5 Disneyland Tips when going with small kids

We recently renewed our passes after a year off and boy did we miss it!  The boys are having a blast, us parents are enjoying the food and we’re all enjoying the family time together!

Do you have a trip to Disney soon?
Use these tips to maximize your time at the most magical place!

DISNEYLAND TIP #1: BRING YOUR OWN SNACKS
Let me tell you, the food is delicious at Disneyland, but it can get pricey.  Bring the snack essentials so you can splurge on breakfast, lunch or dinner.  We usually pack some fruit snacks, water bottles, cheerios in a baggy and our favorite canned chips.

DISNEYLAND TIP #2: BABY CARE CENTER
It never fails, whenever we stop in at the Baby Care Center, there are countless people confused by it.  It’s not a drop off and go place, but rather a place for young toddlers to get away from the crazy.  They have private mother stations, high chairs, changing room and much more.  It’s also great place during the summer to take a break from the heat (baby required lol).  They also have items for sale that you may have forgotten (wipes, pampers, etc).

DISNEYLAND TIP #3: CHARACTER DINING
I love, love, love, love character dining.  How it works:  during your meal, characters come around to each table.  You can take photos and get autographs.  The kids LOVE it. It also saves you time in the park.  Those lines can get pretty long.  Heck, I waited to take a photo with the Disneyland Pumpkin for 45 minutes!  We like to do the breakfast one’s because they are a tad cheaper than the rest.  It can be pricey, but worth every penny.

DISNEYLAND TIP #4: BABY CARRIERS
This one is for the new moms out there. Did you know babies can go on rides too?  They’re able to go on anything that does not have a height requirement.  Of course, parent discretion is advised.  The best way to take your baby (sometimes the only way depending on their size) is via a baby carrier or sling.  We wore both kids to the park and it was a life saver! Plus the little one gets to nap comfortably.  I recommend the Tula.  It was our favorite!

DISNEYLAND TIP #5: PLAN AHEAD
Lets be honest.  You can’t do the whole park in a day.  As much as some try, it’s impossible to do.  I recommend doing some research before.  Map your course and pick your top 5 attractions that are a must do.  Everything else will be a bonus. It keeps you from feeling stressed and worried about what’s next.  There is magic all around the park.  Enjoy the scenery and just have fun!
