Food, diet and pregnancy #Fail
I had big plans for this pregnancy. I was going to be the super fit mom who worked out every day. I was going to stay slim and not give into cravings. I wanted to maintain sleek arms and fit into my clothing right up until my due date. I wanted to inspire others and let them know that YOU CAN DO IT ALL.
26 weeks later.. I still haven’t started that goal. Failure? Nah. I decided that I was going to watch what I ate and exercise when I wasn’t sleeping or running after a toddler. This pregnancy has exhausted me to no end and, yea I let life get in the way.. What happened to my #NoExcuseMom attitude I had just months before? It went out the door. I now only walk to be able to give into my garlic rice cravings. I walk to be able to share a ice cream cone with my toddler. I traded squats for mommy snuggles with my first born. I traded planks for extra Z’s.
By no way is this a dig at the super fit pregnant mama’s, but I want those who don’t have the energy from creating a human to know that it’s okay to indulge in the pregnant mom life. Throw it around as an excuse from time to time to avoid unloading the dishwasher or sleeping in a few more minutes. Pretty soon your life is about to change, again(or for the first time!).

March 7, 2016 at 4:18 AMTake it from someone with experience when it comes to fitness and pregnancies (I’ve had 4 pregnancies and 3 kids – 1 miscarriage). I put those same goals you have for myself every time. While I succeeded to a certain extent (maybe week 25-26 weeks). After that I ate what I craved even though I was nauseated all the time so I ate what really craved (i.e. chocolate), and went to the gym when I could. But I promised myself that after delivery that I was going to kick my self in the behind and get the body Iv,e always wanted. I achieved my weightloss goals every time but never got to the toned muscular body I wanted until 6 months after delivering my 3rd child. I did it! I am so proud that I am writing about my journey on my blog to help other mommies get there too. Fear not, if you can’t now, because your body is unable, you’ve got time. Take it easy, baby needs you. You’ve got the rest of your life to get to your weightloss goals.

March 7, 2016 at 3:16 AMI’m not a mom yet, but it sounds rough trying to stay super fit while growing a human. I applaud pregnant ladies I see who are taking walks around the neighborhood early in the morning. I will probably not be that lady! I love your candid-ness about being a mom for the second time around 🙂

March 6, 2016 at 4:38 PMI remember thinking it was the time I could get as fat as I wanted! lol not true I know but I found even when i didn’t give into cravings I gained 40 pounds exactly every time and craved different things each time. Its definitely wise to try to stay away from sugar because you don’t want your sugar to be high. I craved Caesar Salad, yeah explain that
